Belford’s historic, brick building provides an excellent back drop to your meal whether you dine inside or out.    Crab Cakes and Shrimp, Greens and Grits are just two of the traditional southern options available.  There is always a Fresh Catch of the Day, and the mouth watering, Angus steaks are served with Parmesan potato wedges, asparagus & your choice of shallot Dijon butter or brandied peppercorn demi-glace.

I would suggest the Crispy Calamari with a Spicy red chili glaze to begin your meal. With each morsel you can taste the distinguished pepper that has just enough heat to give it an enjoyable bite.

The Fried Green Tomatoes a with Roasted pimento cheese and arugula pesto is a favorite with Savannah locals and visitors alike. The pesto is made fresh and daily and the arugula offers a nice refreshing twist to the pesto you may be familiar with.

For the seafood lovers, I would recommend the Coriander Seared Ahi Tuna with a Romesco sauce, sauteed spinach and crispy scallion rice cake.  The Romesco sauce, which originated in Spain, is said to be one of the best accompaniments for fish.

Belford’s is well known throughout downtown Savannah for its wide variety of signature cocktails and extensive wine list.  Be sure to try a Scarlet Belle, which is a refreshing mixture of raspberry liqueur, gin, sweet tea and fresh squeezed lemonade.  The Liquid Calm is another popular drink that features Crown Royal, coconut rum and peach schnapps carefully blended with cranberry and fresh squeezed orange juice.

Belfords is a great choice when looking for a dress up or dress down dinning place. The facilities easy accommodate large parties and the location couldn’t be more perfect.
