Had the opportunity to visit a relatively new restaurant on Broughton Street last night and was highly impressed.  R.O.S.E.  serves upscale cocktails and well put together cuisine in a casually elegant, upbeat atmosphere.

There was quite a crowd but the service was relaxed and the staff seemed to enjoy being there.  Rex and Sue, the owners were most welcoming and I found the restaurant to be a great place to socialize.  The area has been designed with a crowd in mind.  Even though it was pretty packed, I still felt I had plenty of room to move around.

Love the brick work!

I must admit I am a little neurotic when it comes to restaurant bathrooms.  I cringe when I go into one and there is no toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, or whatever.  Not only was R.O.S.E. fully stocked and clean but the included a little bonus.  Mouthwash!

This was my first trip to R.O.S.E. Public House but it certainly won’t be my last.  Truly enjoyed the excellent service, drinks, and food.  If you haven’t made it by R.O.S.E. yet, you really should.  Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 5-7pm and on Tuesday’s it lasts until 9pm.  Live music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Till Next Time R.O.S.E.

If you go try the Piggy Backs appetizer. So good. Grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon.
